What is a cycleboat?
It’s a boat, bike and bar, all in one!
Wait, so I’m doing all the work?
Well, you and 15 other people, yeah. But let’s be honest, if you’re not really pedaling all that hard, who’s going to notice? Also, we should probably mention that it is very easy. In fact, one person could pedal the boat all by themselves. And if that isn’t enough to convince you, know that we also have a 60-horsepower motor as well, in case everybody decides to fake it at the same time.
What’s included and what’s not?
All St Thomas Cycleboat tours include Rum Punch, water, speakers, and the party! Coolers with ice are also provided so feel free to also BYOB with your favorite beer, Rose, and snacks to munch on. Don’t forget your favorite playlist too!
How long will my excursion last?
The whole enchilada, from boarding to disembarking will take about two to three hours depending on your chosen tour. We’ll spend the first 15 minutes getting loaded up and familiar with the boat, about 1.5 – 2.5 hours on the water and then 15 minutes at the end getting your things together and you on your way.
IS THIS ECO FRIENDLY?
Yes! Cycleboats run on pedal-powered motors and solar panels, and reusable cups are provided.

If driving, we are located on the west end of the island at Crown Bay Marina. Please park in the designated parking lots as you enter the marina.
Call 340-774-7457 to have a local safari taxi pick you up and bring you to Crown Bay Marina.
If traveling by cruise ship to St. Thomas, you will port at one of our 2 amazing docks – Crown Bay or Havensight. If you arrive at Havensight, you will be greeted by Safari taxis at the gate. Notify them you are going to Crown Bay Marina and enjoy the scenery on your short drive through Charlotte Amalie.
For cruise ship guests arriving at Crown Bay, we are located at the same Marina, a short walk to Tickles Dockside Pub where you will find us on slip D10.

How do I book a boat tour?
We have three different excursions available every day, starting at 9:00 am with the last trip at 4:30 pm. You can even reserve an entire cycleboat for birthdays, bachelor or bachelorette parties, corporate and other special events. Cycle boat tours are limited to 16 passengers and sell out fast, so reserve your spot online
Can I swim or snorkel off of the boat?
We do now offer a 3 hour tour to Water Island that allows guests to get out of the boat at Honeymoon beach to swim, snorkel, sit on the beach, or bar hop. We do not provide snorkel gear, but you are welcome to bring your own snorkel gear or small equipment for beach activities. The 4:30 pm tour is a 2 hour tour where you stay on the boat the entire time.
Is it safe?
Cycle boat tours are extremely safe. To help passengers stay focused on the fun part, we request you fill out a waiver when you arrive.
Should I tip the crew?
Tipping the captain and crew is always appreciated. Industry standard is 20%. If, for any reason, a crew member made your boat tour experience less fun, please contact us at info@stthomascycleboats.com.
What if the weather’s bad?
What, bad weather in Saint Thomas? If rain or other unsafe conditions cause us to cancel your outing, you’ll be provided with a complete refund.
I’ve never been out on the water, what if I get sea sick?
The calm waters navigated during our cycle tours aren’t likely to make anyone queasy, but if you’re worried, try the morning Water Island tour first. Waters are always calmest early in the morning.
Why shouldn’t I just lay on the beach and drink?
Oh, you should definitely do that too and that’s what makes our tours great, you don’t lose an entire day. Plenty of time to get out on the water with time left to lay out on the beach. Or you can even combine the two with our Water Island tours; the best of everything.
What should I bring?
Will you cancel an excursion if seats don’t fill?
Can I stand up and walk around?
Yes, absolutely. There’s plenty of room to stretch on our cycleboats. Feel free to do your best Jack and Rose imitation if you’d like.
